Roger McGuinn is the father of folk-rock music. As co-founder of The Byrds, he adapted the work of folk performers such as Bob Dylan with a distinctive, jangly 12-string electric guitar and complex vocal harmonies to produce hits such as "Turn, Turn, Turn" and "Mister Tambourine Man." McGuinn's contribution to the legendary 1960s cultural scene extended to movies as he is a featured singer in the cult classic movie "Easy Rider." Among the songs he performs is the movie's finale, "The Ballad of Easy Rider," which he co-wrote with Dylan. McGuinn continues to tour and record as a solo act.
